Grayson Park, Charlotte North Carolina
WHERE: 750 Beal Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28211
WHAT: Concrete park comprised mostly of quarter pipes, with some banks and ledges and a bowl ranging from 6 to 10 feet.
GOOD: Smooth surface and fun set-up. The bowl is steep, but stellar.
BAD: This place is right next to a YMCA, so there is a high likelihood of day-campers over running the park and heavy enforcement of the park rules. That being said, I was the only one of three people skating this place on a Sunday.
PADS: full pads required
FREE OR PAY: pay
DIRECTIONS: google maps
OVERALL: If you’re into street more than trani, this probably isn’t the park for you. I thought this place was well built and a total blast. It’s worth the trip, but go early to avoid the bogies.
