Town of Blacksburg skatepark, Virginia
WHERE: 615 Patrick Henry Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24060
WHAT: Concrete park with a large bowl, banks, quarters, ledges, stairs and rails.
GOOD: Where to start? It’s well built with amazing surface. There’s a waterfall into the bowl that’s intense and a blast. The set up is fun with wide variety. I wasn’t too surprised to find out this was a California Skateparks project. I have only skated about four of their parks, but they all have been pretty stellar.
BAD: Not much. If I had to complain about something, it’d be the that there is some areas that could be better utilized, but really, that’s a stretch.
PADS: none required
FREE OR PAY: free
DIRECTIONS: google maps
OVERALL: A great park. If you’re in the Blacksburg area, do yourself a favor, and don’t stray far from this spot.
